East Gippsland Tourism Businesses Receive Assistance In Breaking The DroughtBy East Gippsland Shire Council - 4th October 2004 - Back to News Tourism businesses in regional Victoria now have access to a support program established for businesses in drought affected areas. With funding support from the State Government, Tourism Alliance Victoria in partnership with Business Development Network (BDN) and the East Gippsland Shire Council, provides tourism operators with an exciting opportunity to participate in the ‘Sustaining Your Tourism Business’ program.
Sustaining Your Tourism Business is targeted at small to medium sized tourism businesses primarily in drought affected areas including the Goldfields, Grampians Murray and East Gippsland .
Sustaining Your Tourism Business covers four key areas: Finance, Business Planning, Marketing and Human Resources. Participants will receive expert and relevant advice, practical support materials and one on one mentoring.
Regionally based small business training specialists, Business Development Network (BDN) have a proven track record in delivering engaging and relevant workshops, to thousands of small to medium size regional businesses.
"This is an ideal opportunity for tourism businesses to fine tune their business approach to ensure future opportunities and marketing activities will maximise business advantages", Nicholas Hunt, Chief Executive, Tourism Alliance Victoria said. " The Sustaining Your Tourism Business program will assist in the development of practical skills and actions that will enable small business to withstand external impacts and increase profitability".
The benefits of participating include : access to jargon free information and practical tips that will make a difference – straightaway, mentoring support and unlimited access to a support hotline during the program, and for up to 3 months after the program finishes. The program offers excellent value for money, representing a saving of over $3000!
