Community Clean Up
Clean Up Australia Day is the nation's longest-running and largest national day of practical environmental action. It's a day to empower communities across Australia to clean up, fix up and conserve our environment.
This Sunday, several events are taking place across Gippsland, bringing together volunteers who donate their time to look after our environment and waterways. I'm looking forward to helping out the crew from Traralgon Central Rotary Club at Sunday's Clean Up Traralgon Creek event from 9am.
Cleaning Up Gippsland
In 2025, Clean Up Australia Day celebrates 35 years of bringing local communities together to clean up and help improve and conserve our environment. Since its inception in 1990, over 22 million Australians have registered as volunteers for Clean Up activities within their local community.
We are fortunate to live in such a beautiful part of the world, and keeping our natural environments clean and disposing of rubbish correctly ensures we preserve the landscape for future generations.
Events are happening in East Gippsland, Wellington and the Latrobe Valley, which means everyone can get involved. To sign up for the Clean Up or to find an event in Gippsland near you visit Clean UP Australia website.
