Latrobe Regional Hospital Needs YouAre you a resident of Bass Coast Shire with an interest in the health services provided by Gippsland’s Regional Public Health Service? By Bass Coast Shire Council - 17th August 2006 - Back to News Are you willing and able to advise a Board of Directors on consumer and community views about services.
Gippsland's regional public health service, Latrobe Regional Hospital, is seeking nominations from interested people from Bass Coast Shire to join its Community Advisory Committee.
Latrobe Regional Hospital’s Community Advisory Committee provides a mechanism to inform the Latrobe Regional Hospital Board of Directors of consumer and community views with the understanding and recognition that consumer and community participation leads to better health care.
The Community Advisory Committee meets every two months on a voluntary basis. Community members are reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred to attend meetings.
Ideally, candidates will be:
· People who are linked with established consumer or community networks,
· People with experience in representing consumer views or
· People who are passionate about consumer participation in health care.
