The lunch, to be held on 26 March at Greenwattle racecourse, will showcase Wellington’s finest food and wine in a unique outdoor dining experience, featuring a three-course meal prepared using local produce, and prepared by all-local chefs teamed with live entertainment.

The Shire’s restaurateurs have the opportunity to prepare either the entrée, main or dessert component of the meal to whet the appetites of the diners, and local food and wine producers can showcase their wares on the menu.

Said Wellington Shire Council’s Economic Development Officer Paul Telfer: "Following the success of last year’s lunch we would like to encourage more local producers and business owners to become involved. Last year we had nearly 70 diners from as far as Melbourne attend our lunch which was great for tourism in the Shire and helped build the profile of our local produce."

For more information and to participate in the event please telephone Economic Development Officer, Paul Telfer on 1300 366 244.
