Demonstrations Of Online Service At LibrariesLatrobe City’s Traralgon, Morwell and Moe libraries are holding demonstration sessions next week highlighting the online library service. By Latrobe City - 15th February 2006 - Back to News The online library service provides library members with comprehensive and authoritative information sources through the internet 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The service is available from http://www.latrobe.vic.gov.au/library/online/
Manager community information services, Valma Warren, said the sessions will feature Encyclopaedia Britannica, health encyclopaedias, online newspapers, journals and magazines.
"Using these databases library members can find information for a school or university assignment, quality information on current events, current business information, information about medical conditions book reviews, and the latest information on scientific research," Ms Warren explained.
The online database sessions will be held on Sunday 19 February at the Traralgon Library in the civic centre, Kay Street from 3.30pm to 5pm; on Thursday 23 February at the Morwell Library in Elgin Street from 3.30pm to 5pm; and at Moe Library on Saturday 25 February commencing at 10:30am.
