Fire Fighters Community Appreciation DayCommunity Appreciation Day for Fire Fighters and their families. By Bass Coast Shire Council - 30th April 2009 - Back to News When: Sunday 3 May 2009, 12.30pm – 3pm.
Where: Guide Park, Cnr Graham Street and South Dudly Road, Wonthaggi.
Who: Bass Coast Shire Council in partnership with the Rotary Club of Wonthaggi.
Representatives from the CFA Brigades of Kernot, Corinella, Kilcunda, San Remo, Dalyston, Phillip Island, Lang Lang, Wonthaggi and Glen Alvie.
Why: To acknowledge the work of all the Fire Fighters and brigades across the Shire during the recent bushfires.
How: 12.30pm – 2pm: BBQ lunch for fire fighters and their families.
2pm – 3pm: Open to the public. Presentations and entertainment.
