Wellington Shire Council was pleased to again sponsor an award, this year backing the Tourism category which was won by the energy technology visitor centre PowerWorks.

Said Wellington’s Mayor Jeff Amos: "On behalf of the council I would like to congratulate all of the deserving Wellington businesses who were recognised for their innovation, hard work and determination by receiving these awards. Each one beat a strong field of competitors in their respective categories and they act as good role models for other organisations in the area."

The council is committed to support and promote the development of local businesses through activities including mentoring programs, and business planning workshops, as well as through advisory services."
