Gippsland Women In Business Network

The Gippsland Women In Business Network met on Wednesday 1st September at the MarkQuay Restaurant in Warragul. Forty-eight women attended to take part and make the most of a great networking opportunity.

The program included:

Drinks & nibbles hosted by Kayleen Turner at Cartridge World, Warragul. Kayleen described how they assist businesses of all sizes to recycle & care for their printer cartridges. She gave an animated demonstration of how they refill cartridges & lots of handy tips. It's a great service that helps to reduce the impact that Gippsland business has on the environment. They have recently expanded their business into Moe and Traralgon with great success.

Helene Armour gave an update on the wonderful restoration work underway at Wesley Church in Warragul. She is part of the dedicated Committee of Management that has been working for over a decade to restore this historical landmark.

Debra Smith-Mooney from Gippsland.com gave an informative presentation on using the regional internet portal to promote businesses through:

  • A basic business directory listing
  • A feature business directory listing
  • Banner Advertising
  • FREE Advertorials & Special Offers
  • FREE Events Calendar

Debra also spoke about the www.WomenInBusiness.gippsland.com mini-portal, which aims to link the many Women In Business networks across Gippsland.

Rhonda Hall finished off the presentations by announcing all the businesses who had made the most of the "Networking Table".

Lots of networking followed as established friends reconnected and new friendships and business opportunities were made.

The food and service at the MarkQuay Restaurant was fabulous and many thanks to Mark and his team for their hospitality.

The next meeting will be held on 13th October at 6.30pm at the Old Shire Hall.
