Advocacy
- Requested a report to establish if the Hinkler Street Reserve site could be utilised as a Community Garden site.
- Council to write to State Minister for Education in regards to community concerns around the anticipated traffic congestion and road safety issues at the new Morwell Primary School.
Decisions
- Authorised the CEO to negotiate, sign and seal a $20,000 loan arrangement for the Pax Hill Tennis Club to resurface courts.
- Adopted the Municipal Early Years Plan 2016-2020.
- Approved to retire the City of Traralgon, City of Moe and City of Morwell Mayoral Chains.
- Approved CEO to visit China, at the invitation of State Government, instead of the mayor, due to local government election caretaker provisions.
- Agreed to lay on the table until 12 September a petition calling on Council to endorse and adopt the Future Morwell Urban Design Revitalisation Plan incorporating the Morwell Circuit.
- Noted the findings of the Pre-Feasibility Study into the establishment of a livestock sales facility. No further action to be taken in regards to Livestock facility in Traralgon at this stage.
