New Hospitality Training Restaurant at Leongatha Bowling Club

GippsTAFE’s Hospitality Department students will gain experience by working at "Jack’s Training Restaurant" located at the Leongatha Bowling Club, situated on Hughes Street.

It is the first time that there has been a constant restaurant feature at the club that is open to the general public for the purpose of training students in the area’s of food and beverage service and kitchen attending.

The Hospitality students hail from secondary schools all over Leongatha, Foster and Korumburra, through the Vet (Vocational Education and Training) in Schools Program.

First year students will work in the kitchen and second year students will work in the restaurant serving patrons.

The restaurant will be open to the public on Tuesday’s for lunch from the June 17 to October 14 2003. It will also be open for dinner over the month of August.

There will be a table d’ hote menu, choices of two to three dishes. Lunch will be your choice of two courses for $10 or three courses for $12.

GippsTAFE would like to acknowledge the contribution of the Leongatha Bowling Club, Hughes Street Leongatha, for choosing to be the venue of "Jack’s Training Restaurant"
