Inclusive learning spaces
Federal Member for Gippsland Darren Chester assisted the official opening this week, with Foundation student Sage Alexander helping him cut the ceremonial ribbon. "The new outdoor learning space is a wonderful new addition which will benefit the entire school community."
"Every child has the right to access great education and the support and opportunity to meet their potential. Investing in school infrastructure, like Stratford's new inclusive playground, ensures more students can fully participate and succeed in their years of schooling and beyond," Mr Chester said.
Investing in education
Mr Chester has long advocated for investment into regional education and says he will continue to work with staff, students and their families across the region to reduce educational barriers for young people in regional and rural areas. "Regional Australia grows world-class food and fibre, and we also grow great kids."
"We need to keep investing in regional education for our youth to achieve their full potential in primary school, high school and beyond as tradespeople, running their own business or farm, or undertaking tertiary studies. We also have a shared community responsibility to increase the aspiration among young people and encourage them to take up education and training opportunities," Mr Chester said.
