By Bass Coast - 18th November 2010 - Back to News

Chief Executive Officer, Allan Bawden, said Ms Wenn had resigned to take a position at Baw Baw Shire Council.

"I would like to thank Ms Wenn for her work with Bass Coast and wish her all the very best in her new position at Baw Baw Shire Council," said Mr Bawden.

"We have appointed Infrastructure Director, Steven Piasente, to the Community and Economic Development role.

"Mr Piasente has shown great leadership to the Infrastructure Directorate in his three and a half years in that position.

"His experience in managing major construction projects will no doubt help him in his new role."

Mr Piasente has worked at Council for 18 years starting with the Borough of Wonthaggi as an engineer in 1992.

Mr Piasente said he was looking forward to leading a new directorate and learning more about the issues that face the team.

"The Community and Economic Development team is working on some very exciting projects including the Wonthaggi Centennial Centre and Phillip Island Children’s Hub," said Mr Piasente.

"I’m looking forward to the new challenges that this role holds."

Ms Wenn finishes with Council on 19 November. Mr Piasente takes up his new position on 22 November.

Infrastructure Manager, Felicity Sist, will be acting Infrastructure Director until the formal appointment of the new director.
