Using The Internet To Help With Homework

Now that school term is well and truly underway, Latrobe City library service is organising free information sessions focusing on using the internet to research homework projects.

The program, called ‘Successful Search for Homework Success’, will be held at Morwell, Moe and Traralgon libraries.

Latrobe City branch librarian, Claire Wood said that students would be introduced to smart strategies that they can use in approaching homework, and effective use of the internet for homework research.

"The internet is a huge resource for homework solutions but it is sometimes difficult to pinpoint specifics with such a wealth of information available. This program will enable students to refine their searches and utilise the internet to its maximum potential to achieve practical and usable information," Ms Wood said.

"The sessions will be practical, hands-on courses, which means that attendees should have keyboard and mouse skills," Ms Wood added.

Sessions will be held at Traralgon Library on Thursday 22 February, at Moe Library on Tuesday 27 February and at Morwell Library on Wednesday 28 February. All sessions run from 3.30pm to approximately 5pm.

To register your attendance, telephone 5176 3630.
