COMMUNITY BUS UPDATE
The Yinnar and District Community Association has been given a $100,000 grant to purchase a community bus. The money isn’t quite in the bank yet but when received it will be held in a special account held by the YDCA, We have obtained quotes for a new bus and we are currently in negotiation with local dealers to get the best possible deal. A sub committee of the YDCA is also working on the guidelines for the use of the community bus and these are being carefully put together to ensure that all potential user groups will clearly understand their rights and responsibilities. We are also considering a number of options for a home for the bus and the intention is to house it in a central prominent location. The YDCA are planning a special launch in the next few months and all community members and groups will be invited to view the bus and hear how it is going to be managed. This will be another significant community event in Yinnar and we will keep you posted on arrangements.
