Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow Guarantees A LaughWhat’s the collective noun for a group of comedians? A chuckle? A giggle? A hoot? Who knows? By Latrobe City - 7th June 2013 - Back to News ? But whatever it is you’ve got to get your tickets for this year’s Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow on Wednesday 3 July at Latrobe Performing Arts Centre, and become part of the collective audience for collective laughter.
Latrobe City Council’s coordinator performing arts and venues coordinator, Kathleen Roberts, said that this year’s bill includes Greg Fleet, Justin Hamilton, Dave Williams and Randy.
"Greg Fleet is a big name in Australian comedy with a long history of giving his audiences autobiographical comedy food for thought. This year’s act ‘The Boy That Cried Sober’ is no exception.
"Justin Hamilton has carved out a successful career as a stand-up comedian, writer and director while maintaining his unique voice within the Australian Comedy scene. In 2010, Justin not only continued his live stand up career, but appeared in the Librarians as the recurring character Biscuit," Ms Roberts said.
"David Williams is the James Bond of comedy. Sharp, witty and charismatic and known for his theatrical physicality and tendency to improvise, David has played the Melbourne International Comedy Festival each year since 1999 always with a new show.
"Comedy festival audience favourite Randy is on the road with his razor sharp show, casting his eye on the world around him. And this time, he’s sober!
"With such an eclectic line up it’s bound to be a huge show, so get onto the box office now and secure your seat," Ms Roberts concluded.
Warning: Performances may contain coarse language, sexual references and material that can offend. It is recommended for people aged 15 years or older.
The Melbourne International Comedy Roadshow will hit the Latrobe Performing Arts Centre on Wednesday 3 July 2013 from 8pm. The LPA Bar is open from 7pm. Phone the box office on 5176 3559 for bookings
