Murray Street Footpath Construction

Bass Coast Shire Council is pleased to confirm that rehabilitation work will commence this week on the Murray Street footpath in Wonthaggi.

By Bass Coast Shire Council - 30th September 2005 - Back to News

Council’s Team Leader for Technical Services, Charles Taveira, said the construction of a new concrete footpath between Apex Park and Aldi Supermarket will provide a safer and continuous access route for pedestrians.

"With the summer visitor influx just around the corner, the footpath will be a major benefit to residents, visitors and Murray Street traders alike," he said.

The footpath construction will provide a continuous footpath link along the north side of Murray Street. The improved access will be disability compliant.

A new path will also be constructed connecting the new footpath to Mitchell House.
