GippsTAFE’s Leongatha Campus is offering new courses in 2003 to the South Gippsland community.

GippsTAFE’s Leongatha Campus is offering new courses in 2003 to the South Gippsland community.

The campus already offers a range of accredited programs and short courses in Business Studies (Accounting, Banking, Office Administration, Management and Information Technology), Metal Fabrication/Engineering, Automotive Studies, Social and Community Services, and Hospitality Studies.

Programs are also offered where VCE students can undertake studies in Office Administration, Engineering, Automotive Studies, Hospitality, Community Work and Access.

For the first time, Hospitality will be offered to the general public as well as to secondary students.

"Since we have started delivering Hospitality as a VET (Vocational Education and Training) in Schools program, there has been enormous growth in that area," said John Cargill, Coordinator of the Leongatha Campus.

Mr Cargill also said that GippsTAFE were introducing a diversional therapy stream for their aged care course and a mental health stream for their community services course.

"We are also offering a Certificate III in financial services for 2003," said Mr Cargill.
