The CD Rom was again used at the recent TIS (Tertiary Information Service) Tour, which was attended by Year 12 students from across the region.

"The CD was received with great excitement, more CD’s were taken than the amount of hard copy course guides that we used to bring, students appreciate the format," said Darren Teller, GippsTAFE Student Services Officer.

"Around 1300 CD’s were snapped up by students and we will producing more in the next few weeks."

"The new CD has many new features such as ‘Areas of Interest’ booklets that are vocationally based and are easier for prospective students to search through."

The "Areas of Interest" booklets include: Artistic and Creative, Information Technology, Finance and Legal, VCE and VCAL, Human Services, Health and Fitness, Clerical, Admin and Retail Operations, Practical and Manual, Management Training and Small Business, Apprenticeships, General Education and Koorie Studies, Short Courses and Hospitality and Tourism.

"This year the CD has undergone a change of design and the theme is ‘Transformations’, which is very relevant as many students that come to GippsTAFE are looking for a change of career, returning to the workforce or need a change of direction in life."

The CD also contains the course guide, series of student testimonials, video presentation, inspirational quotes and music.
