Latrobe City featured on Italian websiteLatrobe City Council is being featured by the Italian Chamber of Commerce as part of their web page in Australia and Italy. By Latrobe City Council - 6th October 2003 - Back to News Latrobe City Mayor, Councillor Graeme Middlemiss said that Latrobe is the first Council to be featured, following the formal signing of an Italian Desk Agreement with the Italian Chamber in May this year.
"An overview of Latrobe City and its business opportunities will be available through the Italian Chamber of Commerce website to all businesses who are Chamber Members within Australia. The information will be widely available through their Italian website, as a place to undertake business in Australia," Cr Middlemiss explained.
"Since signing the Italian Desk agreement, Council has assisted businesses in timber, green waste power stations, transport and the cable industry to forge relationships between Australia and Italy," Cr Middlemiss said.
Manager of the Italian Desk for Latrobe City, Bill Barber said that the Desk is a conduit between companies wishing to undertake business in Italy, or Italian businesses wishing to form strategic alliances with companies located within Latrobe City.
"The fact that Council and its Italian Desk will feature so prominently on the Italian Chamber of Commerce website can only serve to further enhance the communication and trade opportunities between like-minded businesses in Latrobe City and Italy," Mr Barber concluded.
