Black Spot Funding for Bass Coast

Bass Coast Shire Council has begun works on two road safety projects in the Shire after receiving funding from the Federal Government.

By Portal Admin - 29th September 2016 - Back to News

Council received almost $1.5 million in Federal Government funding under the 2016-17 Federal Government's Infrastructure Investment Black Spot Program for the two projects on Agar Road between Corinella Road and Soldiers Road in Coronet Bay, and on Woodleigh-St Heliers Road in Woodleigh.

The main objectives of these projects are to address run-off road crashes by providing clear markings to assist drivers and motorcyclists judging their position on the road, and reducing the severity level of crashes.

Design and survey works have commenced on both projects, with construction anticipated to be completed by June 30 2017.
