New CEO for GippsTAFE!GippsTAFE would like to announce the appointment of Mr Jeff Gunningham as Chief Executive Officer By Gipps TAFE - 18th May 2002 - Back to News Mr Stewart Cramer, President of the Gippsland Institute of TAFE Council, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Jeff Gunningham to the position of Chief Executive Officer.
Mr Gunningham has a wealth of experience in the Vocational Education sector, both in Australia and internationally.
Mr Cramer said the Institute Council believes that Mr Gunningham’s experience and networks are directly relevant to the Institute’s key directions and continued success.
Most recently Mr Gunningham has been Director, International and Commercial, at Edith Cowan University in Western Australia. Prior to that, Mr Gunningham was Director, Higher Colleges of Technology, at Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.
Following his migration to Australia from Britain, Mr Gunningham spent 10 years in leadership positions in the Western Australian TAFE System, including Director/CEO of Karratha College and Central Metropolitan College in Perth.
Mr Gunningham has extensive experience with International students and industry training, particularly in the mining industry. He is also a recognised authority in the field of technical training for industry, and has presented several papers to international symposiums on partnering with industry.
Mr Gunningham has an engineering background and an MBA qualification.
Education and Training Minister, Hon. Lynne Kosky, has endorsed the appointment of Mr Gunningham and wished him success in his new position.
Mr Gunningham is looking forward to returning to the TAFE sector and will be joining the Institute in July.
