Water Main Realignment Works to Commence Shortly in Swan Reach
Realignment of water along Princes Highway at Swan Reach due to start Mid November.

On-site work is due to commence in mid-November to realign a section of water main along the Princes Highway at Swan Reach.
The work is being carried out in conjunction with road works currently underway by Regional Roads Victoria and the water main relocation is expected to take approximately one month to complete. It involves the relocation of 150m of water main along the southern side of the Princes Highway, between the intersection with Swan Reach Road and the eastern side of Duffy Street.
All customers in the immediate area and those directly impacted by the water main relocation work are being notified. Traffic management measures will be implemented along the affected stretch of the Princes Highway, so that trucks and excavation machinery associated with the works can operate safely. Motorists using this part of the highway should also allow extra time for their journey for the period of the project.
East Gippsland Water's Managing Director, Steve McKenzie, said, "Every effort will be made to minimise inconvenience to residents and customers while the water main realignment work is underway and we would like to thank those affected for their patience and cooperation. Importantly this initiative will ensure our staff have easy access to the water main in future for any maintenance and repairs."

The initiative is part of a $10million program of investment in capital projects that the water corporation is committed to for the current financial year across East Gippsland's communities to maintain high quality, reliable services for customers.
