Access To A New Picnic FacilityA fully accessible picnic area in Wonthaggi will be completed by the end of the month. By Bass Coast Shire Council - 1st August 2006 - Back to News Located in Soldiers Reserve, the specially designed table and seating will allow for wheelchair access, so all members of the community can make use of the new facilities.
Bass Coast Mayor, Cr Neville Goodwin, said the new picnic area would be a great addition to Wonthaggi.
"Council have made a commitment to making this an accessible shire.
"This new picnic area is part of our ongoing program for upgrading access in our parks," said Cr Goodwin.
