"Victoria has over 495,000 small businesses all vying for a competitive edge in our successful economic landscape," Mr Northe said.

"The Victorian Small Business Festival offers prospective and current small business owners and their employees access to a range of seminars and workshops that will boost their skills base for growth and ongoing success."

"The Victorian Coalition Government is committed to encouraging small business and individual initiative, and creating an environment that rewards those who work hard, save, invest and create employment," Mr Northe said.

At this year‟s festival small business owners can „add one more skill‟ to their itinerary by participating in one of the festival‟s four hundred plus workshops running over the month of August 2011.

"The festival‟s workshops will deliver practical, easily transferable business skills designed to improve business efficiency and productivity," Mr Northe said.
