Bass Coast Shire Council’s Events Coordinator, Frank Angarane, said the episode will have a seafood focus.

"Families are invited to come along and be part of the studio audience. Filming starts at 9am and goes until 1pm.
"There will be grandstand audience seating, but it is limited, so it will be a case of first in best dressed," Mr Angarane said.

The Great Aussie Cook Off – series concept
The Great Aussie Cook Off is a new annual event to find the best family of cooks in the country. The competition has been designed to celebrate our wonderful cultural diversity in cuisine along with the passion many Aussie families share for great home cooking. The event is strictly for everyday "family" home cooks, not chefs. After an extensive national audition process, eight families from around Australia have been selected to compete in the TV series.
Two families will go head to head in a Cook Off in each episode of the series. The families must each cook a three course meal in just 30 minutes, adding their own magic touch to each dish, using the some mandatory ingredients and then and other ingredients to create their masterpieces. The family nominates one person to cook the entrée, one the dessert and two to cook the main.
