Small to medium businesses from Latrobe City will be able to learn how to effectively use technology to improve profitability at a seminar to be held this Wednesday.

The Latrobe City Small Business Network seminar will feature various speakers, all from local, well known businesses, explaining how their adoption and use of technology has expanded business.

According to one of the organisers, Gail Robertson, this seminar will be tailored and relevant to the local small business community.  It will be interactive, providing an excellent opportunity for small business operators to network and discover innovative ways to use technology to achieve business growth.

"Three businesses will feature as local examples to profile e-commerce in small business. These case studies are participants in a Latrobe City - Telstra Country Wide partnership program which aims to break down the barriers to e-commerce to ensure information technology success," Ms Robertson explained.

According to Latrobe City Council’s Investment Manager, Leo Billington, the seminar highlights a partnership between various agencies keen to address, practical, ‘down to earth’ matters in a relaxed forum which is guaranteed to generate plenty of questions.  A panel of all the speakers will answer questions before the seminar concludes.

The seminar will be held at GREEN Inc, Churchill on Wednesday 19 March, commencing at 10am and concluding at 1pm, and is part of the many activities conducted by the Latrobe City Small Business Network.

The network is funded through the Victorian State Government Ministerial Taskforce and co-ordinated by Latrobe City’s Invest Latrobe. For further information, contact Gail Robertson on 0427 671 144 or Leo Billington on 1300 367 700.
