Cinema Pop Up is Popping up in Wonthaggi - 28 November - 1 December 2019, Apex Park, WonthaggiFree Cinema Pop Up in Wonthaggi this Summer. By Portal Admin - 29th October 2019 - Back to News Cinema Pop Up is popping up in Wonthaggi this Summer, and is FREE for all if you book online!
Featuring an outdoor movie experience at Apex Park, Cinema Pop Up is about providing locals and visitors the opportunity to experience an outdoor cinema and all the entertainment surrounding the event in their local environment.
Cinema Pop up will run for four nights only, from Thursday 28th November up to and including Sunday 1st December and will catering for all featuring the following family movies, chosen by Wonthaggi locals:
- Thursday 28 November – Aladdin (2019) (PG)
- Friday 29 November – Coco (G)
- Saturday 30 November – Home Alone (PG)
- Sunday 1 December – Big Hero 6 (PG)
The pop-up roadshow will feature movies, free games and activities for kids, a candy bar with popcorn and snacks, and a bar for the adults.
Supported by Toyota, Prime Super, the EJ Whitten Foundation, Bass Coast Shire Council and Wonthaggi Union Community Arts Centre, tickets are available for purchase at the gate for only $10 for adults and $5 for children, however, if you book online, tickets are FREE. Toyota Regional Marketing Manager, Andre Palayan has said, "supporting community events is part of Toyota’s DNA and the team at Wonthaggi Toyota are incredibly proud to be supporting this event in their town."
Cinema Pop Up is the largest outdoor regional cinema operator in Victoria, with pop ups running throughout regional Victoria all summer. Cinema Pop Up Director Kate Hardwick said, "we’re excited to bring an event of this caliber to regional Victoria. These are the types of experiences you’d traditionally only be able to access in metro cities, however we understand and value the importance of local communities. Having these magnificent partners on board together with support from Bass Coast Shire Council means we can offer a free experience people can share in together."
Bass Coast Shire Mayor, Cr Brett Tessari, said it is great to see this fun, family activity coming to the Shire.
"What’s even better is that the community can attend this event for free if they book their ticket online," Cr Tessari said.
"The Wonthaggi Cinema Pop Up is sure to be a great way to make the most of the warmer weather, for a family movie night under the stars."
