Victalent Travel Grants For Sport & Rec Clubs The Nationals Member for Morwell Russell Northe has encouraged all sporting clubs and organisations in the Latrobe Valley to apply for funding through the VicTalent funding program currently on offer. By Russell Northe - 3rd November 2008 - Back to News VicTalent provides a $500 travel assistance grant to community sport and recreation organisations in country Victoria.
Mr Northe said the VicTalent program aims to increase the capacity of sport and active recreation organisations in rural Victoria and to assist athletes, coaches, officials and teams with the travel costs of engaging in training and competition.
"This grant may just be the free kick some of our local clubs need to open the door to wider training and competition opportunities," the Morwell MP said.
Funding applications for travel to be undertaken after July 1, 2009 and before December 31, 2009 close on April 16, 2009. Applications can be lodged online, via email, fax or post with the Department of Victorian Communities.
