Bonang Road gets $9M funding for improvement by Darren Chester
Bonang Road project to begin soon with ensured funding of $9M to improve the region's accessibility.
Mr Chester said heavy rainfall at the end of 2022 had prevented the work to start as scheduled over summer but he expected Regional Roads Victoria contractors to commence the project early this year.
Federal Member for Gippsland Darren Chester has assured locals the $9 million of funding he secured to finish sealing the Bonang Road was still available for the much-needed works
Mr Chester said, "It's an important safety project that will deliver benefits for locals and visitors to our region and I'm looking forward to the successful completion of the road sealing program. Improving accessibility to the region, particularly in times of emergencies, will help to save lives and boost the local economy."
