Exciting school holiday program at libraries Exciting activities for children including ’ArtRageous’ creative craft workshops and ‘Busy Bee story time’ will be taking place at the Moe, Morwell and Traralgon Libraries these school holidays. By Latrobe City Council - 13th September 2005 - Back to News In week one, Penny O’Neil will help children unleash their inner artist through the ArtRageous workshops. Recycled material and industrial offcuts will be transformed into amazing, colourful artefacts in a one and a half hour creative workshop. The workshop will enhance and stimulate children’s imagination with safe materials that are totally different to the standard art room supplies. Children will be able to make at least three to four objects in the allocated time.
The ArtRageous workshops will be held Thursday 22 September and cost is $6 per child. Sessions will be limited to 30 children per session. The workshops will take place at Moe Library from 10am until 11.30am; Morwell Library from 1pm until 2.30 pm; and Traralgon Library from 3.30pm until 5pm. All participants must be at least seven years of age. Bookings are essential and pre-payment for the workshops is required.
In week two, children can buzz into spring with ‘Busy Bee story time’. Children can visit their library and listen to the stories and participate in the craft activities. The sessions are suitable for children up to 8 years of age. Traralgon Library’s session will be held on Tuesday 27 September at 10.30am.
