Media ReleaseBaw Baw Shire Council has re-elected Cr Ruth McDonald as Mayor. By Baw Baw Shire Council - 9th December 2004 - Back to News At the Statutory Meeting of Council held last night, Wednesday 8 December 2004, Cr Ruth McDonald was elected unopposed as Mayor for the 2004-05 term of office.
This is Cr McDonald's second term as Mayor.
"I would like to thank my fellow Councilors for their confidence in me," said Cr McDonald.
"We have had a busy year with a number of exciting strategy plans being developed for the community.
"However in the next 12 months we have the added challenge of appointing a new CEO as well as finalizing and implementing our plans," said Cr McDonald.
"The Shire will be assisted in this process from the goodwill and sense of purpose shared by all Baw Baw Councilors.
"We have benefited from a stable Council in recent years and I see this continuing," said Cr McDonald.
