Boat Muster Rescheduled

The inaugural Gippsland Lakes Boat Muster, recently postponed because of bad weather, has been rescheduled to Sunday, 27 January 2008.

By East Gippsland Shire Council - 12th November 2007 - Back to News

The event will take place on Lake King, west of Metung and south of Tambo Bluff.

Event spokesman Rod Wright said the new date would tie in with Australia Day activities on the Saturday and help create a great weekend in East Gippsland.

"This is an enormously popular time on the Gippsland Lakes and by adding the Boat Muster into the celebrations we will have a weekend to remember," he said.

"We were greatly encouraged by the high level of interest and the hundreds of entries and we are confident that the re-scheduled event will be a great success."

Mr Wright said the extra time would enable the organisers to further develop an ‘on water’ program add make the event even more memorable.

"Using the website and entry database that has been established we will also be able to keep boat owners up to date with our plans."
