Pools to open with a Splash for 2006/07Wellington Shire Council will celebrate the opening of Summer Season 2006-07 with a pool party at each outdoor location to kick start the summer season. By Wellington Shire Council - 6th November 2006 - Back to News Local residents are invited to enjoy the pool-side celebration with free entry, free BBQ, a local band, the giant pool inflatables, Loopy Dragon, Ozland and Dolphin Slide and many other giveaways.
"Come along and enjoy your pools.
"Remember that they are there for the benefit of the community, to teach young ones to swim and as a social outlet for everyone.
"We love to see them used and we encourage everyone to make use of them throughout the summer season" said Cr Malcolm Hole, Mayor of Wellington Shire Council.
