Dylan Alcott is a household name - a Paralympic gold medallist, Australian of the Year 2022, and one of the world's greatest wheelchair tennis champions, having claimed multiple Grand Slam titles, including a Golden Slam in 2021. Beyond sport, Dylan has built a reputation as a powerful advocate for inclusion and accessibility, inspiring people of all ages with his trademark energy and humour and is an author.
Latrobe City Council is pleased to announce Live in Latrobe featuring Dylan Alcott on Wednesday 1 October 2025 from 11am to 1pm at the Traralgon Tennis Centre. The event will feature live Q&A with Dylan where you will hear firsthand about his journey from world-class courts to the world stage, meet-and-greet opportunity where you have a chance for a photo and autograph with Dylan before 1pm.
Inspiration awaits Latrobe
Mayor of Latrobe City Council, Councillor Dale Harriman encourages people to head along to hear from the 2022 Australian of the Year and learn about his inspiring career, his purpose and positivity. "This is a chance for our community to connect with one of Australia's most inspiring figures. At this exciting event, you'll have the chance to meet Dylan in person and grab an autograph and photo after the Q&A!"
"And if you wish, purchase one of Dylan's children's books from Readers Emporium, Traralgon, who will have a pop-up book stand. This is more than a school holiday event - it's a chance to be motivated, uplifted, and reminded that no dream is out of reach. As the event will be held on the tennis court, people are asked to please wear sneakers or flat-soled shoes," said the Mayor.
This event is brought to you by Latrobe City Council and the Victorian government's $2 billion Regional Sports Infrastructure Program. Dylan's books will be available for purchase from a Readers Emporium pop-up on the day.
