By news@gippsland - 27th March 2025 - Back to News Works to build a better highway through Bairnsdale are well advanced and are scheduled for completion by the middle of the year, according to Federal Member for Gippsland Darren Chester. "It's been a long time coming, but the upgrade works on the McEacharn Street roundabout at Bairnsdale are well underway, with the upgrade slated to be finished in a few months' time," Mr Chester said.

"It's quite a big job, and obviously, traffic disruptions are annoying, but the long-term benefits of a safer stretch of road will be good for locals and visitors to East Gippsland.
