Lodge Your Customer Service Requests Online

Recent enhancements to the Latrobe City website have seen the introduction of an online customer service request feature.

By Latrobe City Council - 12th July 2007 - Back to News

This feature will allow customers to request action or report hazards outside of the normal business hours, at a time more convenient to them.

Latrobe City mayor, Councillor Tony Zimora said that the ability to report a hazard or request assistance is now available via ‘Quick Links’ on Latrobe City’s home page.

"Council staff will forward the request to the appropriate officer and follow up with a call if the customer indicates this is desired. It is expected that the introduction of this feature will allow for greater service to our customers by giving them access to council at times that suit them which are often outside traditional operating hours," Cr Zimora explained.

Latrobe City’s manager community information services, Julie Kyriacou, said that since the re-launch of the website in 2005, other features have regularly been added.

"Visitors to the site have access to ‘Quick Links’ and the ‘Noticeboard’, from the home page, which allow easy access to council strategies, upcoming events and other areas of high interest.

"Another frequently used area of the site is the ‘Feedback’ section which provides a forum-like discussion tool to residents to generate conversation on topics of interest," Ms Kyriacou explained.

"Visit the site to search for your lost pet, check the local weather, find statistics on our area or browse the interactive events calendar. Latrobe City’s website is providing a wide range of helpful information to more than 45,000 visitors each month and we welcome your feedback on its features," Ms Kyriacou concluded.

Latrobe City’s homepage can be accessed on www.latrobe.vic.gov.au.
