By Latrobe City - 22nd February 2012 - Back to News

The proposed burns will be located in Churchill along Manning Drive and Ikara Way Reserves; the Fitzgibbons Road Flora, Fauna Reserve in Tyers and Brights and Mackintoshs Roads, Boolarra. A letter box drop will be undertaken in these areas prior to the activation of these works.

The community should be aware that for public safety reasons some roads may be closed during these operations.

These burns are designed to reduce fuel loads, meet environmental objectives and assist with fire protection strategies.
