Vacation Care Program open for summer holiday bookingsBookings for Latrobe City Council’s Vacation Care Program are open. The program caters to children aged five to 12 and operates weekdays, 8am to 6pm, from Monday 9 to Friday 27 January 2017. Bookings can now be made online. By Portal Admin - 28th November 2016 - Back to News Latrobe City Council’s coordinator early learning and care Stacey Jennings said the program offered a fun and educational care option for primary school aged children over school holidays.
"Located at Moe PLACE in Vale Street, the program offers excursions, crafts, sports and art. It also offers an opportunity for children to try their hand at different activities, challenging their skills and providing a safe place to meet new friends," Ms Jennings said.
"We plan the program so that the children are offered a variety of experiences, both at the facility and off-site. Over the summer there will be trips to the movies, to ten- pin bowling, to outdoor pools and to a gymnastics centre.
"They will also get the chance to create art and craft, to cook - hamburgers and pizza are on the menu, and to make their own wood work piece or jewellery item. There’s a different activity on offer every day," Ms Jennings concluded.
