Report Received For Structure Plan

Bass Coast Shire Council will meet in November to consider the Independent Planning Panel’s recommendations and Amendment C90, which relates to the San Remo, Newhaven and Cape Woolamai Structure Plan.

By Bass Coast Shire Council - 25th September 2009 - Back to News

Council’s Planning and Environment Director, Hannah Duncan-Jones, said councillors were briefed on the Panel’s recommendations at a policy workshop on Wednesday.

"As required by the Planning and Environment Act 1987, Council must consider the Panel's recommendations before making any decision about whether the amendment should be adopted," said Ms Duncan-Jones.

"This will be done at the Council Meeting on 19 November, when Council considers both the amendment and the Panel’s recommendations.

"The Planning Panel’s report has been released publicly and has been distributed to all those who made submissions on the amendment.

"This is an important amendment for Bass Coast and more particularly the communities of San Remo, Newhaven and Cape Woolamai, so we expect there to be interest in the Panel Report and at the November Council meeting," continued Ms Duncan-Jones.

A copy of the Panel report is available at www.basscoast.vic.gov.au. If you would like a hardcopy of the report or have any questions regarding the amendment, please contact Martin Gill on 1300 BCOAST (226 278) or email m.gill@basscoast.vic.gov.au.
