Water Main Replacement Works - West Bairnsdale
Water works to boost water reliability and quality.
On-site work is expected to commence early April to replace nearly one kilometre of ageing water main at the western end of Bairnsdale, adjacent to the Princes Highway.
The aim of the project - planned for completion this winter - is to boost the reliability of local water services and water quality.
Contractors Interflow have been engaged by East Gippsland Water to carry out the works.
Every effort will be made to minimise any inconvenience to affected businesses and residents, who have all been notified of the project. Traffic management measures will be necessary.
This initiative is part of a $10 million program of investment in capital projects that the water corporation is committed to for the current financial year across East Gippsland communities, to ensure high quality, reliable services for customers.
Anyone with enquiries about the project should contact East Gippsland Water on 1800 671 841 during business hours.
