Thumbs up for Prom Country Visitor Guide!In research commissioned by Tourism Victoria, Prom Country Regional Tourism has received very positive feedback on the quality of its Visitor Guide. By South Gippsland Shire Council - 15th December 2004 - Back to News Nine regional Victorian visitor guides were researched by Melbourne consultants, Open Mind Research Group to assess the range of promotional material linked with the broader Jigsaw promotional campaign.
"We didn’t know the research had been undertaken until the report arrived," said Ms Claire Buckland, South Gippsland Shire Council’s Tourism Coordinator. "It’s always great to receive positive feedback, and the report acknowledged that we have achieved what we set out to do: provide comprehensive information in a professional manner to attract visitors to the region."
Some of the feedback provided states:
"Its presentation style and general look is glossy, upbeat and professional."
"The publication portrays Prom Country as a place to enjoy spectacular, pristine natural environments"
"The Prom Country Official Visitor Guide is very well received. It is praised in particular for its professional presentation style, clarity, user friendliness and comprehensiveness."
"Furthermore the use of highly evocative photography in particular, paints a highly appealing and enticing picture of the area as a great place to enjoy unique, pristine natural environments."
Fifty thousand copies of the 2005 Prom Country Visitor Guide have been printed and more than 40,000 of these will be marketed and distributed externally via Tourism Shows and other Information Centres.
Copies are also available from the Prom Country Visitor Information Centre in Korumburra or by calling 1800 630 704.
