New Respite Care Facility For Families  New Respite Care Facility For Families Member for Morwell Russell Northe today announced that carers and families in the Latrobe Valley will have more opportunities for a break with a new respite house for people with disabilities due to open next year By Russell Northe - 18th September 2013 - Back to News in Ann Street, Morwell.
Mr Northe said "The respite facility is currently under construction, and once completed the facility will be able to accommodate children and adults to stay for up to 2 weeks.
"A team from the disability service provider Scope will support children and adults using the house.
"The house will consist of six bedrooms, five bedrooms for guests and one for staff.
"Family and friends will be able to visit a person while they are staying at the house."
Mr Northe said "Families will no longer have to travel to either Moe or Sale or beyond for respite. The respite facility will have the capabilities to assist many Latrobe Valley families.
"The facility will allow families to have regular planned breaks, having breaks allows families to remain strong and to continue caring for their loved one."
