Latrobe Fibromyalgia Support Group get online!

A great new website taking steps in building a valuable support network

By Emma Kae - 15th March 2001 - Back to News

Upon reading my e-mail today I found a link from a friend to a great new website. Created by Carol Turner for the Latrobe Fibromyalgia Support Group, the site was made to aid and comfort patients suffering this Fibromyalgia.

Fibromyalgia is a medical condition, not unlike Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, but with more painful symptoms. Because of the nature of the complaint, most FMS sufferers are socially isolated, and many reach out for comfort, information and companionship on the Internet.

The group is fairly new to the area, and the website serves both to raise awareness and provide support. The website is bright and cheerful, easy to navigate and use, and very informative for people who are looking to find out more about this condition.

Congratulations to the Latrobe Fibromyalgia Support Group for making their debut online, and especially to Carol Turner for her good web mastering skills and fantastic community service – it’s great to see.

The Latrobe Fibromyalgia Support Group is a non-profit group.

Take a look at the site by clicking here.
