Bass Coast Local News: Cape Paterson Community ForumThe forum will be an opportunity for the community and Councillors in an informal setting By Carol McCormack - 11th November 2002 - Back to News Tell us your opinion See what others have said Bass Coast Shire Council will hold a community forum on Wednesday 13 November from 7pm at the Cape Paterson Hall.
The Forum will be an opportunity for members of the community to talk with Councillors and staff in an informal setting. The evening will include displays as well as group discussion.
"If people have a specific issue they would like to discuss, we encourage them to contact Council beforehand," said Cr John Gains, Mayor of Bass Coast Shire Council. "That way we can also ensure there is a Councillor or staff member on hand to answer questions, or we can make it a topic for small group discussion."
Cr Gains explained that the issues people raise may be specific to Cape Paterson or Shire wide.
The Cape Paterson Community Forum is part of Council’s regular community forum program. Held on the second Wednesday of every second month, the forums provide an opportunity for the community to talk with Council in an informal setting.
The evening will conclude with an informal discussion and light supper.
To nominate topics for the community forum or to RSVP, please contact Coral Jones, Administration Assistant, on 5671 2211 or 5951 3311 or email c.jones@basscoast.vic.gov.au.
