Food recall - Kitchen Collection ‘Bread Mixes and Yeast’

Latrobe City Council Health Services has been notified by Food Safety Victoria of a food recall.

Latrobe City Council Health Services has been notified by Food Safety Victoria of a food recall. The product package description are the 2kg boxes of wholemeal/white/grain/soy and linseed Bread Mixes and the 250 gram packet of instant dry yeast labeled ‘Kitchen Collection’ distributed by George Weston Foods.

Latrobe City Council Health Services Unit Leader Mr Andrew Mackintosh said the products have been sold through most major supermarkets, health food shops, wholesalers and cooking and breadmaking schools and should any member of the public have possession of these products, they are asked to return them to the place of purchase for a refund.

"The Bread Mixes and Yeast products are being recalled due to contamination of possible galvanised wire metal particles," Mr Mackintosh said.
