Christmas Light Competition And Tour

Community members are being encouraged to get into the Christmas spirit, by taking part in the Bass Coast Christmas Light Competition.

By Bass Coast Shire Council - 6th December 2006 - Back to News

Bass Coast Shire Council’s "Christmas fairies" are looking for the best Christmas light decorated house, shop and street in the Shire.

"All you have to do is fill in a nomination form and wait for the Christmas fairies to visit some time between 13-15 December," said Council’s Arts and Leisure Coordinator, Jenny Churchill.

"Even if you don’t participate in the competition, you could nominate a home or shop for the People’s Choice Award.

"Entries close 11 December and the winners will be announced prior to Christmas," continued Ms Churchill.

The winners for each category will receive prize money to assist with their Christmas festivities. Winners from previous years can still nominate but are not eligible for first prize.

Nomination forms are available at all Council Customer Service Centres or by calling 5671 2211 or 5951 3311. Forms are also available on Council’s website at www.basscoast.vic.gov.au.
