Australia’s Ultimate Comedy Roadshow Pulls Into TownWatch out for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow, taking the stage at the Latrobe Performing Arts Centre on Thursday 30 June at 8pm. By news@gippsland - 22nd June 2016 - Back to News Skip the gym and give your abs a workout at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow, taking the stage at the Latrobe Performing Arts Centre on Thursday 30 June at 8pm.
Latrobe City Council’s performing arts and venues coordinator, Kathleen Roberts, said that the roadshow was guaranteed to deliver the big belly laughs synonymous with the widely anticipated touring show.
"There is a reason why the roadshow attracts a huge audience year on year. The very best local and international acts are handpicked for the tour, making rolling in the aisle less of an old theatre phrase and more of a modern-day reality."
This year, the line-up features former Spicks and Specks host, Josh Earl; writer for the Project and Shaun Micallef's Mad As Hell, Andy Matthews; the bolder and brassier than Kath and Kim Bev Killick; eight-time comedy festival stalwart Xavier Michelides and 2015 comedy festival favourite, Dilruk Jayasinha.
"This show brings the greatest acts of the festival together on one stage and delivers them right to our backyard. It’s the perfect thing to light up a cold winter’s night." Ms Roberts said.
The Melbourne International Comedy Festival is suitable for people 15 years of age and older. Book your tickets at the Box Office on 5176 3333 or online at www.latrobe.vic.gov.au/lpawhatson
