Mentoring Service For Latrobe City Businesses Small Business Latrobe City Council would like to advise that the small business mentoring service is on again for 2011. By Latrobe City - 7th March 2011 - Back to News Latrobe City acting coordinator business development, Donna Starkey, said that the program provides an experienced business mentor to offer a free, one-to-one, mentoring session for local small business.
"Participation in the Small Business Clinics will allow business owners and operators to develop better business practices and processes and to share management challenges, experiences and insights.
"The Small Business mentors can provide assistance on a wide range of issues, and can often be a good sounding board for those starting out. The mentors all have extensive experience in running successful small businesses and can provide first-hand advice from their experiences.
"The initial 45 minute consultation with a representative of the Small Business Mentoring Service is free, and any subsequent sessions from then on will be charged at a nominated fee," Ms Starkey explained.
Watts Smart Electrical Churchill’s Sue Seegers attended one of the mentoring sessions last year and feels that she received valuable advice.
"The mentor provided me with excellent information on business planning, providing a good image for your customer, and how to build a reliable customer service model," Ms Seegers concluded.
