"GippsRealestate", a new website for consumers, was recently launched at GippsTAFE’s Waratah Restaurant, attended by local community businesses and organisations.
The website, which was developed by GippsTAFE with funding from the Estate Agents Guaranteed Fund, aims to overcome difficulties faced by prospective real estate buyers, sellers, investors, workers and families with limited time and resources to access Real Estate knowledge in Gippsland.
Guest speaker, Evan Platschinda, Gippsland President of The Real Estate Institute of Victoria and local Real Estate Agent for 23 years, said that the website offers consumers something different to what is usually available.
"The website is unique as it talks about the legal side of buying, selling, renting and information about the Government first home buyer’s grant," said Mr Platschinda.
"It allows consumers to be able to walk into a real estate office knowing the processes that they will have to go through to buy, sell or rent."
Mr Platschinda also said that the website was not only for beginners, that investors and people buying their third or fourth home will still find information on the site useful.
The website contains useful links to Government bodies and departments for more information and offers current real estate legislation.
Local community organisations can contact GippsTAFE Business Development Officer Leah Donaldson on 5120 4500 if they wish to display free GippsRealestate brochures.
