What A Milestone

Bass Coast Shire Council has recognised the service of a number of staff who have served more than 20 years, at a special presentation last week.

The staff members recognised include:

· Arts and Leisure Coordinator, Jenny Churchill, for 27 years of service;

· Corporate Services Director, Danny Luna, for 25 years of service;

· Customer Service Officer, Joy Niven, for 24 years of service;

· Finance Officer, Christine Burgan, for 21 years of service;

· Finance Officer, Heather Allan, for 21 years of service; and

· Special Events Coordinator, Frank Angarane, for 23 years of service.

The staff members began their service with the previous shires of Wonthaggi, Phillip Island and Bass.

Council’s Chief Executive Officer, Allan Bawden, acknowledged the dedication and commitment given by staff over their terms of service with Council.

"The knowledge and experience of staff who have worked in the community for this length of time is an invaluable resource for both Council and the community," he said.
